Amber came to Bridge of Hope Harrisburg with her three children. She ended a bad relationship with her children’s father and living with her mother. Her relationship with her mother was becoming abusive, and she was being forced to move out of the home. She was working full-time as a Certified Nursing Assistant and trying to find an apartment that she could afford on her own.
Her goal is to increase her income to support her children and work on having a healthier relationship with her mother.
When asked what home means to her, she said, “Somewhere that is safe and nostalgic.” When asked to describe her family in one word she said, “Fun” and what’s your family’s greatest strength she said, “Perseverance”.
When asked what inspires you, she said, “People inspire me when they keep trying.”
